In your aviation career, you will inevitably interact with a variety of people. It will be important for you to understand how they think, how thinking influences behavior, and how behavior leads to outcomes. In this essay, you will apply what you’ve learned from reading and discussing Kahneman’s book to different groups of people you will encounter as an aviation professional: regulators, competitors, customers, colleagues, and people who report to you.

What have you learned about how you think, how others think, and how we interact with one another that will help you serve your customers, work with your colleagues, and lead those who report to you? Your essay should be at least four, but no more than five, double-spaced pages with one-inch margins all around. Use Cambria or Times Roman 12 point font. A good essay will have a descriptive title, a concise introduction to prime the reader for the body of the essay, and a conclusion that brings everything back together with clear takeaways about thinking and interacting with others as an aviation professional. You must make clear and appropriate reference to the concepts from the book, so it is strongly recommended that you think about this essay and the interactions it asks you to consider as you read the book and we discuss it in class. A good essay will be well organized and free of avoidable writing errors. Edit and proofread your document before submitting it for evaluation
